Melbourne:
Michael Clarke, Captain of Australian Cricket team, told reporters that he really enjoys watching Sachin Tendulkar play, but I will hope the he did not achieve milestone of 100 centuries in International matches in the series against us. There has been a lot of buzz around the cricketing world about whether or when would the master be able to achieve the much awaited and deserved milestone. The Test series against Australia will begin from December 26. Clarke was quoted saying that he hopes that the master misses out this opportunity in the four-match series.
It has been a decade, since he has ruled the entire cricketing world with his magical performances with the bat, and I really enjoy watching him play. However, if he does this, then he really deserves all the credit anyways. He also said “I would like to him reaching the milestone in the next series that they play. He added “We are very much aware of the fact that there would be lot supporters in this test match desperately waiting for the master to reach the milestone, but we would make our best efforts to stop him reach there.”
He also displayed the confidence by declaring his team two days before the start of the first test match. Ed Cowan made it to the playing XI, and will open the batting for Australia. Mitchell Starc shown a lot of promise in his bowling, but the team gave preference to the experienced Ben Hilfenhaus, who has been in and out of the team from the last few series. The team’s most reliable pair Mike Hussey and Ricky Ponting have also been retained for the first test match despite of their poor run in last few series.
