iraqThe United State of America planning to withdraw another 4,000 U.S. troops, leave Iraq by the end October. U.S. military commander who posted in Iraq said that prepared testimony for congressional hearing Wednesday.

U.S. President Obama said that the U.S. combat mission in Iraq will end by August 31, 2010 and he also said he plans to keep a range of 35,000 to 50,000 for supporting troops on the ground in Iraq after combat troops are out. Ray Odierno the U.S. Gen is expected to tell the House of Representatives Armed Services Committee that there has been a significant drop in violence in Iraq recently.

The U.S. Gen Odierno also said that “Today we have approximately 124,000 troops and 11 Combat Teams operating in Iraq”. At the end of October, I believe we will be down to 120,000 troops in Iraq and also said that overall U.S. security is improving, it is not yet enduring. There still remains underlying, under solved sources of potential conflicting. Odierno pointed to in the August 19 bombings in Baghdad that targeted the Ministries of finance and Foreign Affairs that killed more than 100 people as an example of ongoing challenges in Iraq.
