In mid Baghdad at least 25 people has been killed and nearly 40 are wounded in 2 huge explosions, reports said.

The two huge blasts strike the ministry of justice & an additional Government house in the Green Zone, causing brutal injury. They came in a quick run at 10.30 local time (07.30 GMT), and were followed by random barrage of bullets. These are the biggest attacks since the month of August, once two truck explosives hit 2 ministry buildings, reporters said. Iraq then blamed the foreign fighters for this occurrence. Plumes of smokes were seen getting higher in the horizon from the Green Zone which is the most heavily fortified administrative part of the capital, on the morning of Sunday.

Iraqi officials also said that the no. of wounded and dead is expected to rise, as the rescue workers has already started digging all the way through the ruins to search for the survivors.

Our reporter said that it will be too early to determine who is actually at the back of these attacks, but the finger of guilt will probably point to Insurgents or foreign armed forces who were trying to threaten the security condition in front of the Iraqi elections probably in the mid of January.
