29th October 2009, India.
Sachin Tendulkar, one of the greatest cricket player of the world, should slice down his limited over emergence in the ODI’s to lengthen his Test career, feels the former Australian captain, Mr. Allan Border. “I have a very high respect for Sachin and his success in the international cricket. Though I think, it could be better to appear less in limited over matches. It can help him actually to prolong his Test career,” Allan Border said.
Allan Border, who made 11,174 runs in 156 Tests for Australia, feels that Tendulkar’s capability of handling pressure is the tune following his success in the very international cricket. Sachin Tendulkar, who has already scored 12,773 runs in 159 Tests, since 1989 time when he made his first appearance against Pakistan at Karachi.
Allan added that “To represent your country for 20 years in this international ring is quite a difficult task to do. There remains a lot of pressure on any international player and I have to say truly that Sachin has always managed it brilliantly,” The brand representative of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, which is going to be held on Sunday said that “Similar to others, his career has also been worried by several injuries. But still after numerous ups and downs, Sachin has still maintained his class of excellence”.

Sachin’s ODI runs enough for Sachin and India also. But We want Sachin is ever best in Test also. So he will concentrate in TEST Matches. Becz Ricky is near to him. Pls Sachin aware from Ricky.
This is why Sachin is God of cricket, we hope he will continue playing for years.
yes he should focus on TEST CRICKET more than ODIs now.. from now on to before 2011 WC, he should not play more than 10-12 ODIs in order to do well in 2011 WC & help INDIA to do well in his last WC hopefully.. so that means he will finish with somewhere around 17700-17800 ODI runs(10 more ODI matches before 2011 WC from now + 6/7 ODIs in 2011 WC, if india reach quarter final or semis = 16-17 ODI matches)in 450+ ODIs, with 46 100s probably which is enough for ODIs but that should help him to extend or prolong his TEST career till the end of 2011 atleast and if maintains decent form in TEST, he should get atleast 14300+ TEST runs with 46-47 100s.. then it will be interesting to see whether ponting will be able to gone past him or not in TEST; anything less than that, it will more likely that punter will gone past him in TEST.. so the bottom line is sacchu should concentrate more on test from now on for next 2 yrs or so and play very selective ODIs till WC… maybe 3 ODIs out 5 against ongoing SL series & then should not play in bangladesh tri nation ODI tournament & then 3 ODIs may be against SA in march 2010 and so on like this..
HI Anirban, thanks for such a valuable and well described comment on sachin’s career. You really have all the data related to sachin’s cricket cricket and you must have done so much of research to know all the figures and facts about sachin. Thanks man.
Good post mate!! Keep ‘em flowing!
Thanks dear….
Thx a ton, buddy.. yes sachin is someone very special in not only INDIA but also in WORLD CRICKET & an INTERNATIONAL FIGURE.. so we should be proud of him what he has done for our country for the over past two decades & hopefully to carry on for few more years(2 to 3 yrs atleast).. as expected, he has skipped the tri nation ODI tournament in BANGLADESH going to be held in the next month (i.e. january 2010) & rightly so. He is likely to play 2 test series against BANGLADESH following that triangular ODI tournament. This is the right approach for a great player of cricket after playing over 20 yrs, in order to prolong his golden career (particularly in TEST), this was the order of the day & like all greats he is doing the right thing. He has hit on the head of the nail by choosing to do this. In ODIs his records speak itself about its volume, also in test his record is tremendous, but like us all cricket lovers & his true fan, he is also aware of this fact that in TEST, ponting is chasing him (in test runs & 100s) & may be even kallis(unlikely to overtake sachin though in TEST in total career runs), he needs to play TEST matches a bit longer than ODIs. So perhaps he should try to play TEST till early 2012 if possible and his body permits after play more than 22 yrs by that time, i.e. still 2 and a half years from now on. Also the fact that INDIA is not playing much TESTs in 2010, he has to play TEST for a longer period of time. He is almost certainly quit ODIs after 2011 WC & only concentrate on TEST from there on for another year or so atleast(if injuries don’t creep of again to him & we have to keep the fact in our mind that he is only getting older, that will not help either to recover from injuries at 38+ when u r 36 which he is right now). after 2 tests against BANGLADESH; SA will probably play 2 tests(if their board finally agrees which is most likely), sacchu will play those if he is not injured & 3 ODIs if is not injured. we need to see him playing matches for india in 2010 and score runs.. in ODIs now it is quite possible for him to even notch up with magical 18000 run mark & gone past it and then quite ODIs in 2011 march in WC. hopefully & we all wishes & prays that he remains highest run & 100 getter in TESTs as well for quite a while i.e. ponting doesn’t overtake him in TEST, neither in total runs nor in 100s. may be after quite a few decades, someone great like him come close to him or even gone past, him let us (him and we indians) enjoy that privilage of highest run & 100s getter in both TEST & ODIs for few decades not few years. Also the fact that with emerging interest for T-20s, TEST matches no will be less or atleast much lesser than yerster years, so it will very very hard for someone to come even closer to sachin or ponting or kallis records in TEST in near future atleast (in next 10 to 15 yrs).. best of luck to our beloved & coveted SACCHU.. we all love u..
sanath I think will not quit ODIs before 2011 WC.. and if he gets chance to play till 2011 WC for SL, he will probably play close to 475 ODIs which will be very very difficult to break for any player in future.
yes, as i have mentioned just few minutes back, sanath said it in his blog too that before 2011 WC, SRI LANKA will play around 30 ODIs more. if selectors pick him, he will play around 28-30 matches before 2011 WC + 6/7 matches in WC = around 480 matches(444 already) …. woooooooow!!!!!!! unbelieve.. if it happens i don’t think anyone will ever break it in future, coz playing almost 500 ODIs is not possible in future.. emerging T-20 matches, no of ODIs not that much and to play that many no of years consistantly performing is not a matter of joke, everything has to be hunky-doory & perfect for a batsman for over that many no of years in practical sense is impossible.. if someone plays that much in future, he has to play out of his skins for that long (20-22 yrs atleast).. is it possible in future? I don’t think so.. and if the selectors think otherwise, sanath said they have to tell him that clearly as they have did that in past, and to keep playing ODIs till 2011 WC, sanath told he needs to perform atleast 3 out of 5 matches, then he will be in right track to play till 2011 WC & he doesn’t want to think about 30 more ODIs SL playing prior to WC, he does not think that much ahead rather wants to focuss on every next 5 ODIs & take next 5 ODIs at a time.. he is undoubtably the 2nd best batsman ever in ODI history, do i really need to tell who is the all time best in ODIs ever? (just read my earlier posts in that case)
Thanks for such details and nice comments buddy.
Thx again, mate. U guys should also join to comment & write ur views in this regard and other cricketing issues. The signal the Sri Lankan Cricket Board, Management & Captain (Sangakkara) sending over last few weeks about Sanath is quite clear now by axing a veteran the and senior most pro of their side from the upcoming tri nation ODI tournament in BD within a week time. So, it is quite unsure now that sanath will play 2011 WC, I afraid to think even whether sanath has already played his last ODI of his career or not, which may be possible now juding their selectors view about him. About axing Malinga, it is expected as he has performed very poorly in the last series particularly in the last do or die match for the lankans in which he gave away 75 runs in just 9 overs!! A senior bowler like him is not expected to do that, and a break is well deserved by him, but axing sanath might well give the singal to him that he might have played his last ODI. If the SL board keep ignoring him like this now, I fear sanath probably will announce his retirement sooner that later, may be as soon as in early 2010 itself. The world cricket will lose a great gem and one of the best entertainer in that case.. what a shame the way the career of the great entertainer of the game will be finished.. he does not at all deserve that finish, rather a adieau like SOURAV GANGULY is what sanath deserves….
Maintaining balance between TESTs, ODIs & T-20s is most essential in world cricket today.. the ICC should never forget & always realise that TEST is the basis of cricket — mother of all form of cricket. Any cricket’s fundamental, basics of his batting or bowling & skills are really tested in it, that’s why it’s called “TEST” cricket. In ODIs, their skills are not tested to that extent but still one needs to be skillfull enough to change the mode of batting or bowling according to the match situation and postition of the game, for example first 10 or 15 overs when the POWERPLAY is on, batsmen with better hitting ability should open & should be consistent enough to do well to give their country a good solid start, if early wickets(2 or 3) fall inside first 15 overs, the middle order should hold the game & play accordingly till the 35th or 40th over & reassess the match situation around 40th over mark & then play accordingly, similarly when u r chasing and also applied for bowlers to bowl differently and accordingly in early powerplay overs and death overs(slog overs) and also captain needs to be tricky enough to place his fielders accordingly and change bowlers accordingly but in T-20s, also these things are less tested (if at all tested).. we play GOD please gives some “sunshine” in the brains of our BCCI officials to play a bit more TESTs for INDIA in 2010 & also the following years to come..atleast 8 to 9 TESTs per year in average not just 4 or 5.. that will not only help INDIA to fight for keeping their No.1 ranking in TEST but will also strike a right balance among all forms of the game & thus stability of mindset of the cricketers, not only that, a biggers aspect of it that if too much T-20s are played in future and few ODIs and very few TESTs, good quality & skillful cricketers will hardly come in future who can sustain in the international area for atleast more than 10, 12 or 15 years.. If ODIs in earlier years were used to call “PAJAMA CRICKET” then T-20s should be BITS & PIECES cricket.
also that will help sachin to stay highest run and 100 getter, the probability will be more if INDIA play 8 matches atleast in a year rather than just 5.. BCCI should feel pride about the fact that sachin is from our country and we should play more tests than what is scheduled
Despite elbow injury (hurting his elbow), punter (ponting) is determined to play the TEST MATCHES against PAKISTAN & he is playing. He has played the 1st test and will also play 2nd and probably will play the 3rd as well, if AUS by that time has already won the series, still I think he will like to play coz despite his injuries he is not giving up a single chance to add to his tally in TEST cricket as he is chasing Sachin in TEST runs & 100s. So when the BCCI will wake up to arrange for more TEST MATCHES per year than just mere 4 or 5 per year. It should be atleast 8 in order to compete with ponting & in hunt for staying the highest run & 100 getter in TEST for long, because AUS always plays 10 to 12 TESTS per year, some years even more; where INDIA in last few yrs & recent times decreasing the number of TESTS per year from 7-8 to even 4 to 5 now per year!! (awefully less number of test matches per year). Last year i.e. in 2009 INDIA has played only 6 TESTS!!!! & also in 2010 nobody still knows how many TESTS will INDIA play, will it be again as low as 5??!!!!! Then sachin’s chance to stay at top in TEST will surely be gone in around 2 years time from now (around early 2012). Ponting is also not taking rest at all or skipping any TESTS or ODIs, he will most likely to play TESTS for another atleast 2 and a half to 3 years more from now (till late 2012) or even if possible to finish with 2013 ashes series to settle the score with the BRITISH(not to forget, he is the only AUSSI skipper to lose 2 Ashes!! so he wants to rectify that record, the only blind spot of his golden career). ODIs no problem coz sachin is way ahead in both runs and in 100s, but in TEST sachin needs to play more number of matches to stay in the hunt for a long (1 or 2 decades) time in the top in runs and 100s in test, not for just 2 or 3 years, which he may will if BCCI doesn’t arrange for 8-9 matches per year and also sachin needs to play almost all of those and for next 2 to 2 and a half years atleast from now on (from now jan 2010 to around middle of 2012, if he is able to play that long after quiting ODIs after 2011 WC).
In 2009 AUS has played 13 Tests where INDIA has only played 6!!(should play 8-9 every year). Most of the countries played 9/10/11/12 tests in the last year.. AUS always plays 11-12 tests per year.. BCCI always for last few years reduced the no of tests for india and india does play one of the minimum no of tests among test playing nations barring BANGLADESH only!!!!!!!!!!! unbelievable fact & they(BCCI) hope sachin to remain top in tests for long.. the greatest jokers–BCCI.. BCCI will be responsible if sachin loses his apex in test soon (within 2 years or so by ponting).. the “bunch of jokers” is the right phase for them which had recently been used about them..
As Sanath is axed from the upcoming tri nation ODI tournament in BD starting in couple of days time, he is unlikely to play the maximum no. of ODIs in the history of ODIs(444 ODIs he has played so far) & if he doesn’t play much ODIs now till his retirement(it is not sure now when he will take retirement from ODIs as well, might well be in few months now as he is constantly ignored by SL board in recent times & if he is not selected again soon). Even if he plays 6 more matches i.e. 450 ODIs and then retire in early or mid 2010 (not playing till 2011 WC), then sachin (currently 440 ODIs) will remain max no of ODIs played player which will be around 455-460 I think, as he will skip quite few ODIs in this year for INDIA to remain fit for 2011 WC which will be (almost certainly) his last ODI tournament. It would have been far better for INDIA if BCCI arranges more TESTs per year for INDIA, 8-10 per year & reduces T-20s & ODIs.. Even 20-25 ODIs per year would have been good enough & not more than 5-6 International T20s (not talking about IPLs or other domestic T20s) per year & make some space for atleast 8-9 TESTs per year which is the primum version of the game & thus also helping Sacchu to remain on the apex of TEST in terms of runs & 100s for long 20-25 years or even more (not just for 2 or 4 yrs & then overtaken by ponting, rather, staying on top for few decades) .. but the problem with BCCI is that the main money making cricket is T20 & INDIA is the most main business centre of WORLD CRICKET, so poor sachin might well be overtaken soon in TESTs by ponting soon!!!!! & we indians will have to see & bear that pain!!!!!!!!……… ALASSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!……….. Oh GOD, save the GOD of CRICKET (not only GOD of INDIAN CRICKET)…..
sachin has played only 42 tests in last 5 years while ponting has played around 60 or even 60+..
Ponting has played 56 or 58 test matches in last 5 years.. one good thing that ponting has scored a golden duck yesterday against pakistan 2nd test but Kallis is going great guns as always & scored yet another 100 in the 2nd test against england, he has also scored century in earlier test few days back, his 100 no. is 33 now in test and 10500+ runs, so he is also very much in line to chase sachin in no of 100s (the way kallis is scoring 100s in tests now-a-days like ponting used to do 3 or 4 yrs back) & total runs in TESTs. Thank god dhoni said he thinks INDIA will play 8 or 9 test matches this year, even if it is 8, it’s ok & also sachin has to score heavily particularly in the upcoming two tests against BANGLADESH (perhaps he will get only 2 innings in that series if india bats only once in both the matches, if he gets 3 innings then also should try to score heavily) & try to increase his 100s & runs as much as possible because so many guys chasing him these days & INDIA really needs to play atleast 8 to 9 tests per year. In 2011 & 2012, it is heard INDIA will play lot more tests than last year or this year, let’s see, if so, it will be good and also sachin needs to score well in an average every possible tests he play from now on.. best of luck to him.. EDEN GARDENS has got 2nd test against SA in feb 14-18.. somebody says valentines gift for us calcuttans, really nice valentines gifts for us (calcuttans).. hope sachin scores well in EDEN too.. hopefully sachin plays 2 to 2 and a half more years and got to play 20-22 tests & hopefully score around 1700-1800 runs at an average 55+(more than his current test career avg).. trying for 15k in test in too much daunting task even for him.. somewhere around 14500-14700 he should achieve in order to feel comfortable so that ponting or kallis can’t get him within 3 or 4 years time respectively.
There are only bad news’s from everywhere for INDIA now from yesterday till today, because not only INDIA lost yesterday’s ODI against SL but also AUS has won against PAK in the 2nd test, even chasing a poltry total of 176, PAK bundled out for mere 139!! To add insult to the injury, SOUTH AFRICA is in commanding position in the ongoing 3rd TEST against ENGLAND, at the moment leading by almost 400 runs with 7 wickets in hand (thx to tremendous 183 by the skipper SMITH in the 2nd innings — leading from the front) & still more than 1 and a half day remaining. so BAD NEWS everywhere for INDIA. Both their dreams – enjoy the appex position in TEST for long period of time & to become the numero uno team in ODI as well & also to stay there for a while (earlier they were no. 1 in ODIs just couple of months back only for 24 hours as in next ODI they lost to AUS they became 3rd from 1st in 24 hours!!) seems to be off-colour now with these unwanted results for INDIA in the last 24 hours. Sachin should score centuries in the TEST SERIES against BANGLADESH.

Thanks, that is a very good article. I found it via Google and immediately incorporated into my feedreader. I am pleased to soon be back here to read again! Best greets
Amaging start of 2010 in both TEST & ODIs(Particularly in TESTs) for sachin.. hopefully he will continue even if close to this form in both ODIs & TESTs, he will finish with more than 18100 ODI runs with 48 or may be 49 100s (if possible he will try his best to get 50 100s) at an amaging avg of around 45 or 45+ & leave ODIs after 2011 WC & then hopefully plays TESTs till early 2012 till he will be almost 39 years with 15000 test runs (he should try to get it being on right track to get that after 4 100s in first 4 tests in 2010 but there will be tought tour like South Africa in dec 2010-jan 2011 he should try to get atleast 1 centuries from that tough series) with more than 50 test 100s should be around 51-52 100s .. if he gets 50 100s in ODIs as well then it will be perfect finish of his career, 50 or more 100s in both TESTs & ODIs & combined will be more than 100 100s with around 33000-33500 international runs!!!!!!!!!!! for playing more than 22 years to 22 and a half years (if playing till early 2012 which he should in TESTs)….. AMAGING!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! Hats off to u sachin……
15000 test runs at around 56+ avg.. playing till early to mid 2012 with around 51-52 100s
I didn’t understand the concluding part of your article, could you please explain it more?
Do you have copy writer for so good articles? If so please give me contacts, because this really rocks!
BCCI proposed to the ACB (Australian Cricket Board) to play for 2 test matches in this coming sept-october 2010 and 3 ODI series, instead of long 7 ODI series in order to compete for maintaining the no. 1 test status of INDIA. Hopefully ACB will also agree as that will be nice practice for the Ashes in nov for the Aussies plus the factor, in sept-oct there is no schorching heat like summer days. So hopefully AUS will play 2 tests & in July-Aug INDIA is almost certain to play 3 tests against SRI LANKA & late this year (nov-dec), IND is supposed to play 3 more tests against NZL. So in total IND is going to play 8 more test mathes in the remaining of this year 2010 hopefully i.e. 12 tests in all in this year for INDIA which is very good. INDIA needs to play at least 9-10 test matches, if not more, every year in order to compete/maintain the no. 1 position. So at the end of 2010, Sachin would have played 174 tests, considering he will be out of any injury to play all these 8 test matches for INDIA in the remaining of this year & after WC in 2011 will be over, INDIA, I am assuming, will play around 7-8 test matches in 2011 from april to dec. So that makes 182 tests for sachin at the end of 2011 (considering he will be fit enough to play all these tests) & if he is fit enough he will probably play few months in 2012, say around 3-4 matches, that makes 185-186 tests(around 20 more from now providing he will be fit enough & away from injury) for sachin & considering avg around 50-52 in these 20 tests, around 30 innings, he will score around 1400-1500 runs, i.e. almost 15000 runs in test with more than 50 test 100s!!!! Astonising fact!! In ODIs after 2011 WC he will retire with more than 18000 ODI runs in around 460 ODIs (currently 442 ODIs) with 48 100s probably (assuming 2 more 100s with the current 46 100s in the remainig 16-17 ODIs that he will play till the 2011 WC from now on– 4 ODIs in SL triangular in jul-aug, 3 against AUS in sept-oct, 3 against NZL & 6-7 in 50 over WC 2011 assuming INDIA will reach atleast quarter finals, if not more). WC 2011 will be played in INDIA, SL & BD (in sub-continent)
Concluding part of the article:-
If Sachin stays away from major injuries (or even from minor injuries as much possible) in the remaining years of his golden career, he is expected to play for another almost 2 good years for INDIA, say till around first quarter of 2012(i.e. till at the age of 39). He is a bit more than 37 years now. At this age & twilight of this golden career, as others are saying & praying that we can hope & pray to the almighty plz keep sacchu away from injuries, coz at this age even minor injuries can keep him away from game, having said that one should never forget that we are talking about none other than SRT whose sheer determination, passion, hunger for succer & above all love for the game is impaccable & truely unmatchable. So we can seriously expect & hope he will be able to play for about another 2 years for our country. He has already scored more than 31000 international runs (17598 in ODIs + 13447 in TESTs) in over 600 international matches (442 ODIs + 166 TESTs). So in another 2 years or so, he will probably score around another 2000 runs which means he will finish with something like more than 33000 international runs. That’s what I meant to say in the concluding part of that article.
Another almost 2 more years will make 22-23 years in international cricket for sachin (currently 20 and a half years:- From 15 nov 1989 – till date in ODIs, 18 Dec – till date in TESTs) with 33000-33500 international runs combining ODI runs & TEST runs with more than 100 international 100s combining test & ODI 100s (51-52 in tests + 48 in ODIs) assuming 2 more ODI 100s in 16-17 ODIs & 4-5 test 100s in 18-20 tests). Pray to GOD keep sachin away from any injuries or even any smallest niggles in this remaining span to strech the most illuminated career as far as possible. Keep him fit ALMIGHTY. Wishing him all the best for all his endeavors.
currently 46 100s in ODIs & 47 100s in TESTs.. to keep him fit & sustain the pressure of performing for as long as over 22 years or so is unthinkable, forget about someone making it real but a genious can’t be frame in any thumb rule or notion, they make exception the rule & our very own SACHIN is one of those god gifted genious. & to play with that much consistancy for over 22 or 23 yrs is impossible to others except sachin
To remain fit & sustain the pressure of performing in international arena with such a high expectation every time he goes to bat for our INDIA, we expect atleast a 100, when is gone past that 100 we expect him to go past 150, when 150, we expect 200 and now we are expecting a 300 in test for him (specially after 200* in ODIs at almost 37 yrs age, so a 300 in test is not impossible for him even at 37 or 38!!!!!, he raises his own standard bar higher every time & sets his very own new standard which can be overhauled by only him & he does that too more often or not!!!! We are no longer surprised by him now, actually from quite a while now but preciously his oflate form rocketed high his bar & career even higher than the 1998-2000 time zone as rightly mentioned by some expert, he is playing as dominant & great cricket as that time i.e. 1998-2000 if not better & that’s possible at the twilight of his career only because of two main factors — 1. He is free of injury now which was badly affecting him since 2004-2006 & 2. There are other so many attacking and consistant batsmen in the current INDIAN team likes of Sehwag, Gambhir, Dhoni, Raina, Yuvraj etc. in ODIs & Rahul and Laxman in tests with other great batsmen makes INDIAN team no longer heavily dependent on sachin) for as long as over 22-23 years or so with over 33000 international runs with more than 100 international 100’s is unthinkable, forget about someone making it real but a genious can’t be frame in any thumb rule or notion, they make exception the rule & our very own SACHIN is one of those god gifted genious. & to play with that much consistancy for over 22 or 23 yrs is impossible for others except sachin.
Perhaps no body thought or expected, including myself, the 4 consecutive centuries in 4 consecutive test matches sachin would score at the beginning of 2010, thus the revised projected calculation for sachin to make 15k runs & over 50 100s in test are like below:-
1. Currently he has scored 13447 test runs in 166 matches, 271 innings @ 55.57 with 47 100s. So to reach 15k in test, he needs to score 1553 more runs, assuming he will score those runs @ around 53-55 avg, he will require around 30-32 innings & around 19-20 matches which is probably the exact number of test matches he is going to have if he plays till early 2012 without missing out in any test matches for INDIA from now on till early 2012, because in this year if INDIA plays according to the BCCI planning 8 more test matches in the remaining of this year(3 with SL in aug, 2 proposed against AUS in oct & 3 more at the end of this year with NZL) & then assuming 7-8 tests in 2011 after WC ends & around 3 or 4 at the early 2012 then that makes 8+7/8+3/4=18-20 tests, just over 1500 runs in say 30-31 innings with 2-3 not outs @ 53-55 avg.
2. In this 19-20 matches 1550 runs should include 4-5 100s which will make more than 50 100s automatically. So most likely he will get 50th test 100 before reaching 15k & if he reaches 15k according to the number 1 point, he will have 51 or 52 test 100s at the end of his career.
So overall he will probably finish with around 185 tests, around 300 test innings (that will be another distinc achievement if he plays that 300th test innings in his career) with 15k runs (hopefully), even if not, very close to 15k(we all pray & hope he stays fir to get those extra bit few runs to get that magical 15k & not fall short by mere 100 or 200 runs in his career due to some niggle or just because falling short in 1 or 2 matches to score those extra few more to get that 15k) with probably 51 or 52 test 100s , so surely we can hope he will get 50 test 100s atleast, if not 51 or 52 & all these will take almost 2 years from now i.e. april-may 2012.
[He will surely retire from ODIs after 2011 WC but perhaps will not retire from TESTs & play till around early 2012, untill & unless his body gives him the signal not feeling the passion for the game as it is doing for the last almost 21 years now.]
[In the coming triangular series in Zim commencing from 28th may, sachin will not participate along with other seniors of INDIA keeping the packed schedule ahead for INDIA for the roads of preparing for the 2011 WC. Asia cup schedule is announced now, so there if sachin plays, he will play may be 3 matches, then after SL tests perhaps he will not play ODI triangular series with SL & NZ, if plays, may be 2, then against AUS if BCCI manages 2 tests then reduced ODIs will be 3, say sachin plays 2 out of them & against NZL late this year may be another 3 out of 5(we don't know yet the no of ODIs there, if 3 match series then may be 2 or even opt out as WC will be knocking at the door by then). Then 2011 WC, say he plays 6 or 7, So in total 3+0 to 2+2+0 to 3+6 to 7= around 15 odis]
he has now gone past 13500 test runs.. should surely get 14500 runs atleast if play till the end of 2011.. it will be iceing on the cake & red cherry at the top of the cake i.e. a perfect finish if he manages to score both 50 test centuries & 15000 runs as well.. even if not, will surely get close to 15000 & should get 50 100s atleast.. ponting on the other hand has the dipping average now, 54.5 now from 55.6 in just 2 tests.. if he does not get back to his very good form quickly, it will be doubtful how long he will play test after 2011 WC.. so probably get 13500-14000 runs with around 43-45 100s if played till early 2012 atleast.. so sachin should remain at top in test too both in runs and in nos of 100s..
sachin is out now on 85.. missed test ton.. not getting 50 test 100s easily.. could easily get 50 100s by now had not missed so many close to 100 score..
compensated his earlier 100 miss with a 100 this time around.. get his 48th.. should surely score more than 50 test ton now untill & unless something drastically wrong happens with him.. should surely aim for 15000 now with more than 50 test ton.. with around 55.5..
not april 2012 but even if he plays till only the end of 2011 dec 2011, he will surely get more than 50 test 100s with close to 15000 runs if not 15000 with around 55.5 to 56 avg.. woooooow..18000 odi runs should get with around 47-48 100s @around 45 avg.. wooooooooow.. 33000 international runs with 100 100’s @just under 50 avg.. wow.. combining ODI & Tests
he will probably not get to score 18000 not bexause of his lack of form because of indian selectors who have decided him not play any ODI before WC which is ludicrous & disgusting for INDIA .. if played 5-6 ODIs before WC & 7 more in WC 12-13 matches in total he woulod have got 18000.. vogus.. 450 matches he might miss.. 442 now.. 13 matches could have go past 18000.. bullshit.. all tests and no ODI except WC.. bullshit.. last ODI played will be 1 yrs before when he will play WC.. not even dream it can be thought of.. almost 1 yr
total bullshittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!………………… indian selectors.. against aussies in sept same too.. will happen i am sure
6-7 in WC.. i am sure in WC too he will be rested in few matches to start.. vogus coz againt afgasnistan not hsi fault
