Serena Williams has won the WTA Championship title on Sunday which is her second in her career with a commanding 6-2, 7-6 victory over her sister Venus Williams, which earned her $1.55 million. It was Serena’s the second season ending title to add to her 2001 achievement and made her presently the second player just after Justine Henin in 2007 to triumph two Grand Slam trophies plus the WTA Championship in the equivalent year.

Presently the World number one, Serena has won all the five matches in this event, including a group phase win over her sister Venus and her dominance was as usual in the finals that she took just 7 points on serve. The 85 minute battle with a win was Serena’s 13th victory in her 23 gathering with her sister Venus with a family rivalry stretching back to the year 1998.
