On Thursday, 05.11.2009 Rajiv Gandhi stadium of Hyderabad witnessed a stormy innings from none other than the little master himself. The whole stadium was dancing on the tune of Sachin’s bat. At first Australian captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and decided to bat first on the batsman friendly wicket. Aussies started on a high note. Shane Watson and S Marsh produced an electrifying batting. Watson made quick 93 of 89 balls. Then Ricky Ponting and marsh kept the score moving smoothly at the middle session, while marsh completed his debut international century. At the end of the innings White and Hussey managed to put Australia in a very position with 350 run on the scoreboard. From Indian perspective Praveen Kumar was best of the lot, he took 2 wickets.

But all those happened was just a demo of a big storm the original show started when Sachin Tendulkar the mighty hero of Indian cricket started his magic. Almost single handedly he just smashed the Aussie bowling attack. On other hand he did not have any good support from his fellow teammates till Suresh raina came to the crease. One by one the master smashed 19 boundaries and 4 big sixes in between that he made his 17000 ODI run. The situation was just like tug of war from one end the whole Australian team pulling the rope and on the other end Sachin was alone pulling India to victory. There is a saying that though Sachin is a good player but not mach winner. On Thursday he almost proved it wrong but that not happened and he got out with it Indian innings also crumbled down just like a house of card. Sachin was awarded with man of the match for his 173 from 149 balls. With it Sachin still remains a tragic hero.
