The First two phases of Corporate Service Corps Program
IBM today proudly announced its successful completion of the first two phases of its Corporate Service Corps (CSC) program in India.
IBM has occupied with 11 different NGOs and not-for-profit government organizations through this program to take 40 IBM professionals from 19 different nations to India. This is to work at decisive projects for their partner organizations. The first destinations in India are Mumbai and Ahmedabad and it will spread to other places. The country was proclaimed as a host for the second phase of IBM’s most competitive global program.
IBM also announced three more new cities Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore. In 2010 these cities will play host to the CSC teams. The first batch of CSC is around 30 participants from about the world will come in February 2010 and start their work on a many number of fundamental socio-economical development projects.
For the past four months, 40 professionals from IBM have worked closely with not-for-profit government organizations like Yuva, Pratham, Tribal Development Department of Gujarat, SEWA, MITRA, Ashoka, and also with Tata Institute of Social Sciences to put into practice a variety of socio-economic development projects in near future.
