Michael Jackson videos or next Spiderman movie  won’t be among the titles that sony corporation releases 3-d as  it gears up to boost the TV sales with that technology, chief executive Howard stringer said Thursday.

“I don’t think that would make the series to be honest,” he said in an interview at the Japanese electronic and Entertainment Company’s Tokyo headquarters. “I don’t think it will reveal anything else about Michael Jackson we would want to see.” “Michael Jackson’s this is it”, a Sony film about the king of pop final rehearsal before his June 25 death, has gross more than $ 70 million only in US.  And Sony is also planning to release its CD’s and DVD’s of this film soon. The Jackson release has been one bright spot in dismal earnings year for Sony, which has been battered by plunging global demand and strengthening yen.

Stringer also said the next Spiderman installment will not be in 3-d either, but the 3-D version of ‘MEN IN BLACK” was being considered. It was unclear what titles in Sony’s extensive film library might be re-issued in 3-D, he said. With 3-D TV, viewers perceive an illusion of depth when they wear special glasses. Sony said it expects a third to a half of Sony’s TV sale will be packed with 3-D features.
