PARLIAMENT ADJOURNED

Both the Houses of Parliament today adjourned barely minutes after the meeting for day following some vociferous protests from the Opposition parties over the price rise and Telangana issues. The members from Opposition parties trooped into the well as soon as the Speaker, Meira Kumar took her seat in the Lok Sabha, The members of BJP, SP, BSP and Shiv Sena raised the slogans that the prices of essential commodities were witnessing the increase since the UPA came into power at Centre. The TDP members also raised slogans against the creation of Telangana and demanded the unified Andhra Pradesh.

Kumar also said that she has rejected the notice for suspension of the Question Hour because the House had already debated the price rise issue in the session. When the members were not heeding to the Chair’s repeated pleas to resume the seats, Kumar adjourned the House for 30 minutes. Same sort of scenes were witnessed in the Rajya Sabha where the Opposition members were on their feet even before Chairman Hamid Ansari could settle in seat. M V Mysura Reddy and Nandamuri Harikrishna trooped in the well demanding the statement from Government on Telangana issue. They said that Andhra Pradesh can not be divided.
