India won the third One-Day International against Sri Lanka that was played at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, on Monday. This was the India’s magnificent win by seven wickets that is their third in a row at the Barabati Stadium, having won the previous two games against West Indies on January 24, 2007 and against England on November 26, 2008.

Sachin Tendulkar recorded his highest score against Sri Lanka at the Barabati Stadium. Tendulkar has now 18 innings of 90 or more in ODIs to his credit which is an unwanted record. With 208 runs at an average of 104, he is the leading run-getter for India in current five-match series. Sehwag is a next with 194 runs at an average of 64.66. India won this match under the Sehwag’s leadership. Jadeja has received his first Man of the Match award in ODIs.

This inning has made many records where Tillakaratne Dilshan with his 41 off 18 balls became the first batsman to amass 300 runs in the current series including two hundreds. Dilshan is the first player to complete 2,500 runs in international cricket in 2009, aggregating 2,539 at an average of 57.70, including 10 hundreds and eight fifties in 40 matches.
