India ‘A’ beat Kiwis with the help of Yousuf’s ton
In the tri series of India, Australia & New Zealand ‘A’ teams is held in India these day. All-rounder Yusuf Pathan made tumultuous century against New Zealand ‘A’ by which India could win the match by 81 runs in the tri-nation cricket tournament here on Sunday. More over Indian team settle a bonus point that is really exciting & fantastic.
In round robin league match Pathan made 148 from just 127 balls at the crucial time through which India is settled at a competitive 305 for nine in 50 overs after that Kiwis finished their innings 224 in 45.4 overs. At one stage India were struggling with 66 for 5 after both the openers returned to pavilion without scoring out of them Swapnil Asnodkar was run out & Robin Uthappa making his exit with a soft dismissal to Mark Gillespie with just one run & leaving India two for six. After that Raina hit a mighty six at long on before being dismissed & Badrinath made a useful 22 in which he made 4 boundaries. Karthik made just 26 & made his exit being caught by Gillespie off Armel & leaving India in 66 for 5. Pathan was decorated with nine boundaries and same number of sixes & At this point of time came out with his superb innings which is really appreciable knocks by Indian. He secured one side & made partnership with Rohit Sharma & his brother Irfan who made 36 & 31 runs. That is really good performance by these players. In the 41st over The Pathan brothers helped India to cross 200 marks & Yusuf put up an attacking effort to make 25 runs in 46th over & completed his century with an over-boundary.
Now India has 11 points with this win & next Tuesday he has to play with Australia that is the kitty match before going to the finals on Thursday.
